Terms of Service
Effective date: July 15, 2026
These terms govern your use of Kaila, an appointment-booking service operated by Nostos, LLC ("Kaila," "we," "us"). By booking an appointment through Kaila or using a Kaila business account, you agree to them.
What Kaila is
Kaila is a booking platform. Your appointment is with the business you book — the business provides the services, sets its prices, and manages its schedule. Kaila provides the booking tools and sends appointment notifications on the business's behalf.
The text-message (SMS) program
- If you opt in when booking, Kaila sends you transactional appointment texts — confirmations, reminders, and reschedule/cancellation notices — for bookings you make via Kaila. Business owners may separately opt in to booking-alert texts for their own business.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply — your mobile carrier's standard charges are your responsibility.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out. STOP stops appointment and alert texts from every business you book via Kaila (sign-in codes for Kaila business accounts use a separate number with its own STOP). Reply HELP for help, or contact support@hikaila.com.
- Consent to texts is not a condition of booking — if you don't opt in, your booking still works and any notifications arrive by email where you've provided one.
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Kaila sends notifications on a commercially reasonable schedule but cannot guarantee delivery — your appointment stands whether or not a reminder arrives.
Business-account sign-in codes. If you run a business on Kaila, or accept an invitation to work at one, Kaila sends one-time sign-in codes from a separate Kaila number: an invitation code sent to the mobile number your employer provides when inviting you, and login verification codes sent to the number a business owner registers for sign-in. Codes are sent only at invitation or sign-in; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to that number to stop codes (reply START before a new code can be delivered); reply HELP for help. STOP on the sign-in number does not affect booking texts, and vice versa.
Acceptable use
Use Kaila only to make and manage genuine appointments. Do not misuse the service — including making fraudulent bookings, probing or disrupting the platform, or entering another person's phone number without their permission.
Accounts and accuracy
Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, schedules, and prices, and for honoring the appointments booked with them. Customers are responsible for the accuracy of the contact details they provide.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Kaila is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nostos, LLC is not liable for the services a business provides or fails to provide, and our total liability arising out of the use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us (if anything) in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
If these terms change, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
